The Pudtol Soccer Club, representing the province of Apayao, emerged victorious at the 1st Hon. Michael Marcos Keon Football Festival (MMK 7-a-side Football Tournament) Mga Manlalaro para sa Kinabukasan, held on February 15-16, 2025. The tournament, featuring 16 teams in the Men’s Open Category, saw Apayao FC go head-to-head with some of the region’s best football squads.
The squad, which boasted a well-balanced mix of talent from the Municipality of Pudtol, was guided by Head Coach Lee Jard Neil Agustin, Assistant Coach Lichfield Wamil, and Team Manager Rudy T. Castillo. Together, they crafted a strategy that propelled Apayao FC to the finals, where they faced off against the tough competition of Laoag FC.
As the tournament concluded, Apayao FC was celebrated for their spirited performance and their historic win at the inaugural MMK 7-a-side Football Tournament, solidifying their place in the local football scene.
